A brief history of Auto Services Perth Ltd

Auto Services Perth Ltd is a family-owned, independent, commercial vehicle garage business providing multiple vehicle solutions in the form of vehicle SERVICING, MOTs, PARTS AND REPAIRS, RECOVERY, RENTAL and VEHICLESALES.

Stephen Crozier started the business in 1981 aged 21, with his father Jim from a lock up in the town.  Stephen, his wife Elaine and their son Mark are the current Directors with the business based in 3 sites in Inveralmond Industrial Estate and about to open premises in Inverness. Mark is the driving force behind the company’s recovery operation. The company now operates 15 recovery trucks and 5 roadside service vans with a brand new Iveco wrecker arriving this week.

Over the years the workforce increased and the recovery side expanded

We have gained contracts with the main breakdown companies including The AA, Green Flag, RAC to name a few.

The company currently has over 65 employees across its various operations - Vehicle service workshops are open from 7am until midnight, Monday to Friday and 7am until 12midday on a Saturday. Recovery operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with drivers working a shift pattern.

Purpose Built Workshop

In 2008 they moved into their current main base at Bertha Park, Perth - and the company has commenced building another workshop at its site in Ruthvenfield Way, Perth which we hope will be completed in Spring 2025. They have also opened a satellite service and repair centre for all the affiliated brands in Inverness to help our North of Scotland and Highlands customers. Mobile servicing can also be provided. The company expanded into vehicle sales and rental and currently has sales and aftersales franchise for Isuzu Pick-up, aftersales servicing and repair for the Stellantis Group (Citroen, Fiat Professional, Peugeot and Vauxhall Vans) Iveco truck and van, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Maxus vans. They are also an Independent  Mercedes Benz vans specialist centre with fully trained Mercedes Benz technicians.

In November 2021, Auto Services Perth Ltd celebrated 40 years in business

In November 2021, Auto Services Perth Ltd celebrated 40 years in business with a function held at Murrayshall House Hotel, Perth. After almost 2 years of Covid-19 restrictions, we were all able to get together and celebrate , and each guest was presented with a specially commissioned bottle of gin or whisky.

40 years is a great achievement and the company is already planning for the 50th anniversary in 2031. The garage has bought its own barrel of whisky from the Arran Distillery – this will be 10 years old then and will be bottled for the staff, customers and franchise associates.
